Although it only comes around once a year, Christmas requires lots of pictures. Think of all the cards, posters, wrapping paper, etc that require pictures. Stock photos of chirstmas can make you some good money and the benefit is that it'll make you some money during a time when you will need it a lot.
A good idea for stock photos is to build up a christmas collection. Start by, for example, taking pictures of stockings and covering all the stocking stock photos you can. Then go on to santa clause hats. Then go on to chimneys. If you cover every aspect and then continue covering other areas you will create a massive collection of stock photos.
Be sure not to just take pictures of objects during christmas, take pictures of people as well. Get christmas carollers, children with presents, santa clause immitators, elfs, etc.
DO NOT wait until Christmas time to take stock photos of the holiday. Be prepared and have all your photos up and selling a few months before Christmas so that you can ensure that you don't miss any downloads or sells.
