Everyone loves halloween because of the candy and the frights. Some people don't like halloweeen but if you're a stock photographer you better start liking it! Halloween stock photos, although not as popular and in demand as christmas stock photos, can make you some good sells.
There are a plethora of subjects to photograph for halloween. You could take pictures of jack-o-lanterns, haunted houses, and even monsters.
When I recently took pictures for a halloween stock collection I am building I used the subjects of trick or treaters. I had massive coverage of trick or treat children. I covered all ethnicities and tried to do as many variations of costumes as possible.
An easy way to take stock photos of halloween is to wait until halloween and take the stock photos of people. At that time most people will have costumes and be prepared so you simply have to photograph them. You will have to wait till the next year before people will want halloween pictures but it's well worth it.
